Membership
OBJECTIVES :
1.1 To encourage membership from various settings of Maternal and Child Nursing;
1.2 To establish benefits for members that shall foster willingness to join the association; and
1.3 To strengthen the membership scheme of the association.
QUALIFICATIONS:
2.1 To be eligible as a member of the association, he/she must be:
2.1.1 A Filipino Citizen;
2.1.2 A registered nurse with current license; and
2.1.3 With at least one (1) year experience in any setting in Maternal and Child Nursing practice.
CLASSIFICATION:
3.1 Regular Member – an active member who renews his/her membership annually for five (5) consecutive years.
3.2 Lifetime Member – an active member with membership of five (5) continuous years.
3.3 Honorary Member – any individual who have gained prominence in the field of Maternal and Child Nursing practice, duly endorsed by the Mother and Child Association of the Philippines, Inc., provided, he/she is of good moral character and in good standing in the community.
Privileges of Members:
- Every member has the right to vote during the annual convention;
- Every member has the right to nominate a candidate for MCNAP scholarship provided that his/her institution is in good standing, that is, with 30 active members from faculty and their base hospital;
- Every member is entitled to a 5% discount during seminars and annual convention;
- Every member has the right to avail all the facilities of the association;
- Every member is entitled to participate in all official functions of the association;
- Every member has the right to present any suggestion that will benefit the association;
- Every member’s siblings has a chance to be the scholar of MCNAP Aral-Alaga Scholarship program.
- Every institution (hospital/faculty) with a minimum of (30) members, shall entitle their chief nurse/director/dean to a free annual convention fee;
- All lifetime members are entitled for support from the association in any professional scholar grant local and abroad as per BOT approval.
- A lifetime member in good standing has the right to be nominated to a position in the Board as stipulated in the NOMELEC Guidelines;
- All lifetime members are entitled for financial assistance during sickness provided that they submit their clinical abstract to the Board of Trustees.
